I am expecting! Soon to be owner...

Just saying hi, and a greet to the rest of you. I pick up my dream baby in 2 weeks from Ohio and driving back to home in Rhode Island. I am sure I will have plenty of questions for you all. Been doing tons of research on how to treat her right, but I am sure I don't have all the answers yet.

Welcome :)

Be sure that when you ask questions, that you say you did search the forums but couldn't find anything. It'll help keep the flames down ;)

Good thing you're driving it back, gives you and the 8 a good chance to bond :lol2:

And before someone goes off and makes the maintence sound like it's rocket science and takes up a ton of time, it isn't and doesn't so don't worry :)

Welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here as well as enjoying your new ride. And if you get flamed, just ignore it.

OMG! -makes a rude, inflamatory remark that's actually rather shallow, puerile, and cliche!-

...but seriously, welcome aboard! ^_^

..and that is no accident :) Been looking for one that met all my criteria for several months, and Whitewater Pearl was my only choice.

Thanks for the warm welcome you all, even if half of it was flame warnings :)

No worries, it takes alot to offend me, and people generally find me likeable, so doubt I will be a fire-starter here.

... I would have gotten a VR if I was :)

Great colour choice. Needs black wheels right?

RIWWP 10-18-2007 08:09 AM

Actually no. I don't plan on doing much to the visuals. It is such a gorgeous car as it is, the only thing I have seen that actually enhances that is the MazdaSpeed kit and wing. No offense to those of you in here that disagree with me, but most of the visual modifications that people do to their cars take away from the original lines of their cars, and while some cars that is recommended, I don't want anything messing with the RX-8s lines. They are too pleasing to my eyes :)

As for performance mods, I already drive WAY too fast on 4 cylinders, I have enough performance to get myself into even more trouble stock. Which is why I just bought a Radar Detector. Help drop that some.

Most of my mods will be electrical in nature, though I can't get more specific till I spend some time with her to get to know her and her electrical nervous system :)

Hey CanOfWorms,

I get your point and also have lots of trouble keeping to the speed limit (although I mostly do). When you say you aren't going to do "much to the visuals", getting the MS kit and wing is ALREADY much ... a very good, muchness.

Ok so at least tint windows and clear corners. That's not much. :)
