The two emblems on the left and right will come off with some dental floss or fishing line, going between the emblem and the car. The residue can be removed with goo-gone. The middle mazda emblem has 2 prongs that go into the body, removing those would require bondo filling, sanding, and repainting.

Yes, I just want to remove "Mazda" and "RX-8" emblem. My friend told me that he can use your techni on his WRX so I will do the same on my car as well. Thanks again for the tip.

By removing that "Mazda" squiggle emblem, you will have to use bondo, fill up the hole, repaint to match...et cetc.

which is not cheap^^^^
may cost a couple hundred

So only the RX-8 one can be removed without filling holes as I originally thought? The other 2 require bondo/sanding/painting?

You can remove the words out... but not the emblem symbol without having to do some bondo repaints.

Well crap. Oh well, I guess I'm going to remove those this weekend then :)

So, which is it? Both will come off, or just the RX8 emblem?

They both can come off, but the Mazda and Mazda Logo leave holes behind. Now, an option is to remove Mazda and move the RX8 from the right side to the left. Positioned correctly, it can cover the holes left over from the Mazda badge. That's what I did

So in other words they both "come off" but the mazda one will leave holes. Which is exactly what I thought from the beginning. Now I'm sad :(

For more clarification, the Mazda symbols ( front and back ) will require bondo and repaint if you want them removed.

OK...Let's try and make this easy.

MAZDA - will leave holes
Middle emblem - will leave holes
RX8 - no holes

Is this right?

Yes, that is correct. I will leave mine alone. I think I will remove them and wax area under the emblems and put them back in place. That will keep me busy for about 1/2 hour.

I played with the emblem last night and pull out that "Mazda" emblem and it does leave holes on the trunk. So it is not glued. The RX-8 letter is the one that glued on.
