how durable is the rx8 clutch

i was just wondering how durable the clutch is. like what is the avg life of a rx8 clutch? the reason why im asking is because my girlfriend has been asking to learn how to drive a manual so she can drive my car from time to time. and personally i don't know if it is just me but i don't like anyone to drive my rx8 rather they know how to drive a stick or not.

Just make sure that she doesnt ride the clutch... should be fine.
i tought my GF how to drive stick and shes good at it now... but i dont let her drive my car anymore cause its no fun sitting in the passenger seat! I tought her just in case something happens to me and i cant drive

it's easy to burn up if you're reving to 2k and slowly releasing it.

I was used to the pro lite HD clutch, I pretty much released and it caught. Maybe 0.4 sec of slipping so it wasn't jerky.

ok thats good to know. she doesn't really have a problem riding the clutch but popping the clutch at low revs causing the engine and transmission to bulk. i normally don't hot rod the car much at take off. usually i will wait till i get in second gear to really push the car.

more or less the same as any car. Its all really dependent on how its driven

Go with your gut feeling man.
the 8 isn't the ideal car to learn on for a notice manual driver--- No torque mean higher revs means more heat.

The choice is yours
