How to drift the Auto 8?
been trying to learn how to drift my RX8 but I have an automatic in case that makes any difference.
Now can someone please tell me what would be the best way for me to learn how to drift and good drifting tires. |
if you are able to do it please let me know how. not enough torque to spin the tires.
Drifting in an auto is pointless....
just go hella quick into a turn, then keep the gas, let the rear end kick out, counter steer it, then play with the throttle.
and good luck on that!! if im you, i'll sell your car and get a stick shift! |
You have to first get out of your driveway (of course), hit the main highway in your area, and this is the part where you floor it.........all the way to nearest stealership and buy something with torque.
(for real answers, go to the racing section) |
1. Stop watching Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.
2. Do what everyone else says above. G/L |
yeh but the chik who has the 8 in Fast and furious is hot
You guys are so cruel. ;)
well hold on. Which one do you have? the 6 spd or the 4 spd. 4spd, good luck.
rip that ebrake yo
well you see its a new 09 gt i just got about a month ago so trading it in is out of the question but it is a 6 speed.
think it can be done? |
This is one of the most balanced well hadleing cars ever made.
Get your self a POS that's 65% weight in rear. |
It's possible.
everyone knows the 8 is the best drift car
especially the auto:uhh: |
You have to do the 6port 13B-MSP and manual tranny or trade-in swap mod.
what is a 13b msp^
Do you realize how many times people come to this forum and ask that question? Do a search man.

Not enough power really, but you can still have fun.
i can slide around in mine pretty easy. slap the stick over keep it in 1st (since its AT) and after about 6k on the tach just rip the wheel sharp one way, then floor it while counter steering quick the other way and she'll pop right out. mine pops out almost every time
its harder for me to do it now since my tires are so wide and grippy, but when i had stock rims i could slide that shit around so much. just keep it in first and kinda punch it into a corner and counter steer.
