1.Remove Emergency Key from remote
2.Above the "Bump" that secures the key use your finger to pry up the rubber piece exposing battery
3.Tap on table till the battery falls out

Done...

Very Helpful, I just replaced mine - using 'The Paper Clip Wiggle' method
One Hole on the 2008 .

Tiny depression style slots hard to see

I sympathize with your frustration. I too had a very hard time finding the special "slots" to press with the mini-screwdriver. Once I found them, the top cover was very easy to remove.

Look closely at the very end of the key fob, after the switchkey part has been removed. You will see two tiny rectangles, about the size of the tip of your mini-screwdriver, and not deep at all.

:naughty:At first these slots look unrelated to the top of the keyfob. It is these tiny slots that need to have the screwdriver inserted, and then twisted. The cover will then come off easily. A mini-screwdriver blade is needed, not just a small screwdriver.

Do not try twisting the larger holes. Your keyfob will break. Good luck!~

When you figure it out you're gonna feel real dumb it's so easy kind of thing.

The batt # is easy to find at last minute cheap, and seems to run out about every 2 years.

The book says to just replace once a year, so they already know the deplete rate.

my finger nail to get the plastic unhooked, then a card(bank or credit) to get battery out.
