Holy Influx of New Owners!

Bah, you guys make it sounds like there aren't any responsible adults still buying the cars brand new from the dealer, like I did. I may be 36, but I'm neither a "kid" nor an "old fogey".

haha... yes being 21 I had to build my credit up some hows.
Just think, the rx8 is following it's fathers footsteps to the dot. Kids buy it, rat the engine out now we get unlimited chassis to pull parts from including blocks to build. Now becomes a cheap car to build making it a even greater base to build track cars from therefore making it elite.

Hey now! I'm 22 and just bought an 05. I can honestly say I work at a Dairy Queen and not in any financial problems at all.... But maybe because I'm also a newly certified Registered Nurse too.
+1 for free food benefits.

I'm 30 so I guess I'm not a "kid" among the influx of new owners and I plan on taking care of this bad boy. Hit the first 1000 miles since its last oil change, Ive been driving it only 200 miles since purchase, and I put in the quart of oil it needed, all thanks to the study and knowledge gained here, before I bought

Every time there's an bunch of noobs, one of them finds Altspace's chopped "donk" and posts it thinking its real
For the most part, this years group seems to be doing their research and helping each other out.

2004 RX8 Engine #2
Well, I'm glad we all like RX8s. This is a great, albeit quirky car, which is why I bought one. BTW, I don't buy new cars ever, they depreciate you know. Oh, and this is a really good forum, fantastic info; and I don't mind taking my lumps as a RX noob.

Plugs, wires, coils, filter are next. Is Seafoam too early at 20K miles?

My RX-8 was my first sports car and the first NEW car that I ever purchased for ME. All other new cars were for the wife and I got the hand-me-down. Now that our kids are grown and have moved out, I don't have to drive a practical car. I can finally indulge myself. I bought it for my own satisfaction and I'm not out to impress anyone but myself.
