Yup. This has been well discussed. Check out the search button on the top of the page.

Thanks for posting.

pidge1114 05-14-2004 03:29 PM

yes, Velocity-8 is right. Doing a search would yield MANY MANY results for this topic.

Hey man hes the "Search Nazi"....without guys like you and I, he'd have no reason to go on! :D

pidge1114 05-14-2004 04:26 PM

wow so you admit to a useless pointless thread.

congratulations. you've made yourself look like a big tool.

TownDrunk 05-14-2004 04:27 PM

FWIW... I knew about the whole button thing, but I had never seen the video before. Thanks for sharing.

SCiMMiA 05-14-2004 05:19 PM

Pointless thread, hell. That's was a great video - one that every new owner should watch before holding that button down. Soundtrack rocks, too.

Nick T 05-14-2004 06:34 PM

Hell, the owner's manual tells you in a roundabout way to hold in the button to disable the DSC permanently.

err, if 'permanently' means 'until you shut off the car', right?

Nick T 05-14-2004 10:50 PM

Well, yeah. I didn't think that I had to spell it out.

Yeah, I was joking about the music. But I really did enjoy the video. I keep hoping to find a huge empty parking lot on a wet day so I can fully test the limits of my turns sans DSC and TC.

The manual clearly states:

"By pressing the DSC button for 7 seconds every time you start up your car, it will eventually become second nature."

Astor 05-15-2004 10:52 AM

I call that my drift button.

JimW 05-15-2004 07:47 PM

Great videos, I watched them all. That was the first time I watched the top gear video. Great review and I concur. aaahhh.....makes me feel proud! Allright pass the Coniac and Romeo & Juliette please.

rx8miami 05-16-2004 08:01 AM

how about a cohiba instead?

Allright, I'll take it. It's a strong smoke, but it's good. Hey Miami isn't a far drive for me either! hint.....hint......hint. I thought the English gent doing the video would be the Romeo & Juliette type. as for me I'll take any Cuban, simply the best!

rx8miami 05-16-2004 05:46 PM

you got that right! drift on and smoke up!

Actually this thread was very cool! I never saw that video before and I'm glad someone let me know about it.

Has anyone noticed that pidge1114 has over 100 posts that all say the same thing? How old are you pidge? Just curious. ;)

mysql101 05-17-2004 05:19 PM

pidge1114 says, "If you wanted to know my age, you'd have done a search."
