Hi all new here! Im thinking about getting a 8

Well im pretty happy with my S right now so far able to hang with a G35 till the end of my fifth. My car is pretty nice looking IMHO but .....god I fell in love with the 8.

Well back to my issue, ive heard some complaints about the gearing for the 8. Thats about it so far although it is a valid issue.

I am 27 and still like to go to speed trials and even the track if i can get enough buds to go along. I do on rare occasions like the long trek to vegas love to go WOT for extended periods of time. The looks of the 8 have me easily. They make my S look very plain in comparison (not that thats bad of coarse). I do love however my car at 6 k rpm in tunnels you roar through the tunnels.

Ok enough about that value wise the 8 with lsd rwd 9k redline the chasis design, awsome black on red seats, suspension, and small engine is very tempting.

How does this car compare to my current S?

Dynos range for the S around 169 to 174 to the wheels stock.
How does the 8 fare at the the wheels??

Another important question i dont understand is where did all the weight come from in the new 8?? it weighs more than my S and mazda is already using so much weight reducing methods or so it seems.

Another question I would like to get to around 300 na or more than that TC (if the option becomes available and the engine is a relitively stronger block)
I can get 280 na to the wheels with my s but it will cost me loads.
I am just very curious about how this car will achieve this or perhaps exceed 300 hp. I think 300 would be enough or perhaps 330 or so to the wheels so that it will really move.

Oh ya and btw does anyone know of a location in So Cal semi close to 626 where i can test drive a 6 speed 8?

Thanks all in advance. Im pretty set on the 8 but id love to hear your responses.

Oh yeah well met all!
