just got my green filter, and ive been searching for over 15minutes how to get the damn plastic air box open so i can put in the new filter...


any help would be great! thanks

 

There's a clip on the back of the box - you should be able to find it by feel - just reach behind the box.

 

Unlike any airbox I've had before, you can't just open the cover to it... you have to 'pop' the airbox out and up, then the release those two front clips, which allows the top to hinge open, like a big clam.

To get the airbox out, you need to first pull up on the back of it to release the lower two peg/grommets, then push from the front to get the front grommets released, and keep pushing until the oval intake opening is clear from the frame... if this is the first time it can be a little stiff. Once the airbox is pushed far enough back, you can lift it up and open it. There are several threads with pictures on the site if you search... good luck with it.
