Try the deflooding routing in the owners manual. Make sure your battery is fully charged. If you feel real adventurous, take out a spark plug from each rotor housing and squirt a wee bit of oil into each plug hole. Replace the plugs and wires, hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank away as the owners manual directs. However, don't burn up the starter motor. Crank for 5 seconds or so--pause--then crank again. If that doesn't get it started, call Mazda Roadside Assistance and have it towed to a dealer under warranty (hopefully).

BTW, I was REALLY sad to see the track at Nazereth disappear last year. It was one of the best spectator tracks in this part of the country. Easy in, easy out and great seating. Guess it wasn't large enough for the "big time".

Ok I don't know where to start with this one. I'm not sure what the stock "security system" does when it's triggered, but it might imobilize the engine if the battery is replaced. Hence why the alarm kept going off. Some cars come with a disarming procedure like GM that you have to go through if you boost the car after the batt runs dry or if you put a new one in. There shouldn't be anything wrong if you put the positive cable on first, then the negative.

Now if the alarm part is taken care of (just because it stops honking the horn, my guess is that doesn't mean the engine is imobilized) make sure theres enough gas in the tank.

If the engine is flooded, you should smell gas on the dipstick. If so, follow these steps.

1. go under the hood and take the cover of the fuse box on the lower driver side of the engine bay.
2. remover small green 20A fuse for fuel pump, diagram of fuses on inside of fuse box cover
3.crank the engine in 5 second intervals with 20-30sec intervals until engine turns over on it's own.
4.once engine starts, let it run until it dies again (at this point, it's just burning off all the gas in the engine)
5.put fuse back in with ignition turned off and start back up

This will only work if the security system is properly disarmed and the engine is in fact flooded
