Help a brotha out lol (car pulls left & vibrates)

whats up guys i have a dilemma, i recently put my stock rims back on my 8.. there 18's and i put some 235/45/18 shoes on them.. now my problem is when i accelerate on the freeway my car pulls to the left.. now the steering wheel doesnt move at all just the car and only when i accelerate also when i reach speeds of 50-80 miles/hr i get a steady vibration every second that lasts about 2 seconds (so 1 second of non vibration, followed by 2 seconds of vibration) now this vibration goes away when i turn the wheel to the right even the slightest bit but the more its towards the left the more vibration i get.. im not sure where these problems are coming from i have gone and gotten an alignment but that didnt help.. the only thing i can think of is rotating and balancing the tires.. has anyone here experienced this? what do u guys think i should do/is causing the problem? :grouphug:

get them balanced. Maybe even check each tires to make sure that they are worn evenly, or don't have any damage on the tread...
Also, are they torqued to the right specs?

could be radial pull

KIDUS 01-30-2011 08:53 PM

Yes it is (it was aligned by a computer)

Wouldn't this only fix the pull? Do u think the vibration is caused by this?

take it back and ask them to rebalance the tires.
I normally dont suggest balancing tires right after they are installed. for one they need to be driven to seat in properly, then is the glue might affect the balance when its dry.

so u do think this is also the fix for the vibration lol..

the shop should be able to tell you if your tires are balanced/good.

and make sure your suspension is not bent or anything.

I fixed the pulling issue.. It was caused by the tires one was pressured a lot lower then the other.. But now I still have the pulsing vibration issue I'm not sure what it's caused by I just hope it's nothing serious

you sure your wheel is straight ?

Sometimes a tire can come from the manufacture bad; i.e. so far out of balance it can't be balanced, radial belts miss alligned in the tire, etc. the shop should be able to tell you if that is the case and replace it under the tire warranty. either way, take it back to the shop that installed the tires.

yeah im sure.. the wheel doesnt move its just a pulsing vibration through out the car when turning slightly to the left.. im gonna go get the tires balanced but im not sure if thats whats causing it.. just hope its not a bad wheel bearing :fingersx:

Maybe new power steering rack?

Balancing issue most likely and probally lack of rotation. I work at Discount tire and before i worked there i had just gotten my 8. it had the exact pulsing vibration you have mentioned. although i do just plan on getting all new tires shortly so it doesnt bother me. ive balanced and balanced but once the tire is unevenly worn just a little it will never fix. If its not unevenly worn then tell them you want all 4 wheels rebalanced
