Help! aem intake install!

1 Attachment(s)
okay... so i got my intake all installed, and my car turned over, but i have a cel.

There's two vacuum lines left open, i plugged the one on the left, but i don't know what to do with the one on the right? it's the one with the piece of plastic connected to it.

Also what about the other sensor?

Is the Maf suppose to be that close to the TB on the AEM setup?
I can't remember ATM

I decided to keep my 8. I realized I need my backseats more than I thought.

Can anyone tell me if the sock that goes over the air filter really necessary? Does it help that much?

Yes, put the sock on.

It helps keep unwanted elements out of your engine :)

Specially if you have kids like me.

The piece of plastic you have on your hand can be removed. Unplug it and cap it off where it connects to the intake manifold. It's for a flap that opens/closed as your RPM's go up - you removed it when you installed the AEM.

Okay here's a video of what I got going on. Excuse me for being such a noob, but I'm only 18 and have never worked on a car ever in my life.

Did i plug the right vacuum line? is that sensor supposed to be just dangling like that?

the vacumm line goes all the way back up to the intake manifold just below and behind the throttle body... cap the nipple on the intake manifold and remove all the rest of the vacuum line, sensor etc...

My Gr8 8 Feb 1, 2013 11:18 AM

okay i found it, but i couldnt get the nipple to fit around the piece staking out, so i left a little bit of the hose hanging out to cap it
