Hello again Blue vs Blue vs err Blue?
I have been away for along time folks, Since I sold my Yellow RX8 back in May of 05, Sorry!, Bought a Motorcycle to save on gas and fell head over heals in love with biking. Last year well sh%t happened and I had to buy a car. So I traded in one of my bikes and got a car. it sucks. so if I have to have a car I want an RX8 again. Anyway I am back and I am now doing research to get behind the wheel of another RX8 (I Love these cars) (official done with intro no-one cares about)
I was thinking white but I am curious about the difference in the three blues
Winning, Phantom, and Stormy? and a side note if anyone wishes to share whos got the avanced keyless entry and what is it all about.
BTW I also want the MS bumpers and wing.
For anyone who's been on here for a long while I was the only guy from Montana for a while back when these babies first hit the streets.

Here is what Stormy Blue Looks like.
Also, the advance keyless system is GREAT. You have a credit card shaped key that is proximity based. As long as you have that key in your pocket you can unlock the key with the request button on the door and start the car without having to take out the key or the fob. Also, when you close the door and leave, the car will lock itself once it senses you are out of range. Also, impossible to lock your keys in the car, since it will beep at you if you leave the vehicle with the key in it.

Yea, the colour is great. Although, the interior colour is something to be desired. The stormy blue mica only comes with sand leather interior. Its a biatch to keep clean. I had to buy seat covers for the front two seats cause the blue dye from my jeans kept getting the sand leather dirty. Other than that though, the colour is awesome!

Thanks man I'll now have to see it in the sun for real. monitors never give you a true reprisentation of the actual color. Yeah I was hoping that was the deal with the keyless. Cool. I want back in....

And if you go to the blue thread everyone loves blue...if you go to the WHite thread everbody loves white. Generally speaking. additionally I did not see a Stormy Thread. Just checked (again), there is not one. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/calling-all-colors-51541/
Oh I forgot to ask...does it look the least bit purple??? Stormy that is.
only answer if you want to...if no one answers I then know I should do a search

How do you keep sand leather clean? I always wear jean, so I'm always curious about how to keep light color interior clean

Yup. did that, but I had other questions and stuff to got along with my blue question. I was wonder how long it would take to someone to answer my question by diverting me somewhere else.

From personal experience, stormy blue mica probably has the most variable hue out of all of the colours that are available for the RX8. In direct sunlight you will see purple, in shady sunlight you will see midnight blue, in dark shade you will see black, on overcast days you will see a mix of purple and blue...and so on....
When people think purple, they think Barney. This colour is nothing like that. It is more like a regal purple or a dark violet. VERY pleasing to look at. Everyone I have met loves this colour. Girls especially!

Keeping it clean is a PITA! I have to clean it with warm soapy water and leather conditioner at least once a week. Then I spray on leather protectant that you use on shoes and that helps to keep the transferring of the colours to a minimum. I wish there was another choice of interior colour here in Canada, but there isn't. Oh well.
