We Just got an 06 w\21k on it two weeks ago. Velocity Red 6spd. Still in lust. Glad to be part of the scene. We live just outside Hershey PA. Looks like we will be heading to Mid-Ohio for the Rolex race. Won't know for sure for a couple of days. Quick question- if heat is an enemy of this engine anyone using Water Wetter by Redline or Purple Ice by Royal Purple in their cooling systems? As a former Saab owner, 4 old gen 900's, 3 new gens, reading up on the issues of the Rx8, this should be a walk in the park. Go Habs, Go Hershey Bears! Yea another puck head.

Usually, it's a combination of heat and humidity. That is what i notice with my car. For example...when the temperature hits 110 degrees with 5% humidity, my car runs fine, but when the humidity is 25% or more, that is when i notice a change, and when i drive long distances, and when i'm in a stop, my idle weakens and it feels like it's about to die on me. It did a couple of times, but now, when the humidity is less than 20%, it is running just fine. Anyway, some will disagree with me, but this is how it is with my car sometimes, and congrats on the purchase, plus enjoy the ride.

You must be drowning in all that moisture. :lol:

I can absolutely guarantee you that +/- 20% humidity (at any temperature) isn't going to affect how an engine runs.

I know, but this is what i notice about my car. A couple of weeks ago, the humidity is pretty high, and that is when i noticed a change. But now, it is running just fine... :dunno:
