Happy new RX-8 owner
Hey guys, I have wanted an RX-8 since I first saw one in the X-Men movie before they even came out. For various reasons I was unable to get one until recently. Back then I was sure I wanted a red one with the red and black leather interior. But after all this time I obviously had many more choices. Not being real fond of the cosmetic changes in 2009 I knew it had to be between 04 and 08. After researching all my color choices and options I felt that the most appealing to me was by far the 2005 Black Cherry Shinka! I set out on my search for low mileage and hopefully good condition. I found nothing really nationwide on all the websites when by chance my girlfriend found an ad here for one in Wisconson. Turned out he had forgotten he even posted it and it had everything I had hoped for and more and was under 20k in mileage. I flew out from Northern California to check it out and ended up driving it all the way home after buying it. Drove like a dream all the way back and red lined every chance i got. I love the way this car sounds and feels. Everything i had read is true. Still smells and looks new all around and have been loving it since! I am one happy (better late than never) RX-8 owner!

And your story sounds VERY similar to mine... I too, eventually became fixated on Black Cherry, and looked for nearly a year for a low mileage Shinka (37k) in excellent condition. I found mine a bit closer (only had to travel via train ~200 miles), and it was one of the most memorable days in my life!
