Heh it was a very good deal.
$81 with tax. It pays big to have a friend that runs a parts store. And these did not come from any of the low rent low price stores either. |

The four black items are ignition coils. On the RX8 it's recommended to replace every 30k.

Why does it feel like keeping this car maintain cost as much as repairing it when something goes wrong. |
Spark plugs are 60 bucks and about 40 min of your time. Very easy to do yourself.
So are coils. The thermostat is a bit of a bastard just because you have to move shit. |

Welcome to the world or rotary :) its not really all that bad if you can do the work yourself or have a friend help you. Labor these days just cost too much for most people even afford to pay, plus mark up on parts. Shop around and stay away from the dealership as much as possible. example: rear wheel stud from dealer was $14.99, autozone had them listed for $$1.99!! Had them place a gasket from header to midpipe, costed me 90 bucks for 15 min. of there time. 30.00 for the gasket. Sorry for thread jacking.. |
$69.69
