That's a hard assesment to make. Usually, after owning or driving any particular car for some time, one can say that the models on GT3 handles and performs similar to what they experience in real life. I've owned my RX7 for about three years now and I can the same for the RX7 in the game. I even have my GT3 RX-7 set up the same as my own, with roughly the same modifications and settings.
Going reverse, I would think, is different. Having never driven the RX-8 in real life, it would be difficult to predict how the actual car will feel after playing only a simulated version of it. Perhaps it will come close. I hear the system that the programmers of GT3 used is quite advanced, and by entering values like gear ratios, suspension, horsepower, and torque, you end up with a realistic representation of the actual car.
