GReddy SE with straight through Decat - anyone? questions? *Please read*

Hi People,

Im from over the water (England) and im one of the few people here that have a GReddy SE system – hence why this isn’t something I can see/talk to someone about over here on our forums

So, has anyone got the GReddy system and has a straight through decat pipe? Any videos you’re willing to show/send me?

Youtube is hopeless as just SE videos are rare and don’t give a true idea of what the sound is

Thanks all
Dan

not sure what your asking exactly, since what your saying is contradictory [asking to post videos, when they dont even give a true idea of what the sound is]

heres one
Greddy SE + RB Midpipe

Greddy SE + AP Midpipe

Reading that back im sorry it wasnt clear, I can find videos of the SE alone - but not one with a decat

Are both videos youve put up just straight pipes mate? I know that RB do a straight pipe and a resonated one

theres a difference.

those videos are with Greddy SE midpipe [resonators] so technically it is a Decat

Decat does not = Straight pipe [Decat could still include the resonators]

straight pipe = no resonators, no cat

Thats what im after mate, GReddy SE with a straight pipe (no resonators) all people can seem to tell me "itll be loud!" but the SE isnt that loud, only when you want it to be

Anyone?????

On the outside yes, chances are it will only be "loud when you want it to be" with a straight pipe and no resonators. The main issue will be interior drone. Without any resonator your looking at some good droning inside of your cabin.

Thast just an excuse to turn my music up :) lol

In all seriousness though im just going to do it and see how I feel, worried of CEL being thrown up and possibility of flames too!

paimon.soror 03-11-2011 07:29 AM

lol by worried do you mean you "dont want" ? Because theres no doubt that you are going to get a CEL without a cat (easily masked by a COBB), and flames are pretty much a given with this car and less restriction on the exhaust.

Seedler 03-11-2011 08:51 AM

Ahh no im aware il be getting the CEL and flames

Is there any other way of getting rid of the CEL or is the Cobb the ONLY way?
