yeah, but who cares?

I can list my RX-8 on ebay with a starting bid of $100. That's a whopping $32,500 below MSRP!

That looks like a GREAT deal! The reserve is MET, which means that dealer is responsible to sell it for the 25k if it ended now!

WOW

mysql101 04-22-2004 08:42 AM

The dealer isn't going to sell it if it costs him money. What does he care if his account gets a bad feedback.

A lot of states it is actually criminal/fraud to misadvertise such as this. I don't know if they would be willing to risk it. Either way, worth a shot .
GEEZ

Simply not selling an item is the least of your worries when it comes to fraud online.

Good luck getting law enforcement to force the guy to sell you the car.

Meowloud 04-22-2004 08:56 AM

Uh, no.... not to try and get them to sell you the car... but they CAN be fined by the Fed Trade Commission. It happens every week on eBay fraud. I have an entire page of contacts for fraud issues. Also you can escrow.
The guy was excited about finding one cheap, and all you have is negativity. NICE.

Care to look up the online fraud statistics and compare that with what you're saying?
