Got hit. fixed, now turn signals don't flash

So after getting rear ended, all the lights are back in but the turn signals don't work.

The brakes lights come on, the tail lights come on, the license plate light comes on, BUT theres no turn indicator on the dash nor do the turn signals flash.

The car is a 2010 RX-8 stick shift

Any ideas?

Thanx for any and all help.

Check the TNS relay.
Its the far left relay in the engine compartment's fuse box.
On the fuse panel cover, it'll show the locations of all the fuses and relays. The TNS relay is labeled TAIL.
Try swapping relays and see if the problem is corrected (if it works, you'll still need to get a new relay because whatever you swapped with may not work).

This would be the best place to start. Good luck.

Not the same situation. My lights Do work, they just don't flash. Nice try though

It might be the wrong bulb. I remember before when one of my friend replaced his rear signal lights that wasn't working, and he thought he bought the right one, and the lights work, but it didn't flicker. So, he went back and checked it out, and walaa...he bought the wrong bulb. Anyway, he went back and returned the wrong ones he bought and asked one of the employee who works over there to help him get the right bulb for his car. After that, happy ending.

Does the guy who rear ended you have insurance? Did you get the body damage fixed?

Seems like all this should be taken care of by whoever fixed (or will fix) your car. In the meantime, enjoy the rental that the rear-ender's insurance will pay for.

Body shops tend to do very good work on sheet metal and paint, but a lot of them fall apart when it comes to just putting mechanical parts and wiring back on.
