Anyway, besides the stuff in New Yorker's post, a major change from Series I to Series II is that the Series II engine has a third oil injector, lubing the center of the apex seals. A lot of people think that cures the random engine failures that occur on Series I. Another detail is that an oil change on a Series II is a lot harder.

Personally, I like the styling of the Series I much more than Series II. Amazing how a small facelift can mess things up.
