Gasoline smell...help please
 

so yesterday i jump in my car to go to work and as i am about to sit down and start it i smell gasoline coming from under the car somewhere. so i take it up on a lift(work at a dealership) and i can see that the bottom of the gas tank is a little wet with gasoline. i found the source and it seams to be coming from the filler hose like where the hose meets the tank there is a clamp but i think the clamp might not be tight or it has a hole (hose) so i was wondering of any of you have heard of this issue and will mazda fix it for free or no my car has 54k but it has an extended warranty.thanks in advance

sounds like if you work at the dealership they should give you a homie hookup! check to see if the hose is dried out and crusty around the outside and or cut somehow . i just got my car and havn't heard from anybody else about an issue like this, but i will admit i am no expert. I can easily imagine though that something might have bumped it from the underside of the car and tore the hose.

i would assume it would be covered under warranty. i've had alot more minor things than that covered. take it to the dealership. what's the worst that could happen? they say no.
