Gas smell in cabin
 

Hi guys,

My car flooded about two weeks ago, I had it towed to the dealer and they "de-flooded" it for me. When I drove it home from the dealership I noticed a gasoline smell inside the car, but thought it was just from them working on it. The smell is still there, more intense when I turn on the windshield defroster..to the point where I need to open the windows. I can also smell it from outside the car.

Could this smell be from the way they de-flooded it? Maybe they spilled gasoline inside the engine bay during the process? Or is it possible that I have a fuel leak somewhere in the engine bay?

Admittedly, I don't know very much about cars so I apologize if my questions are dumb!

Could be many things but I would have it checked out. You don't wanna fire. Maybe let the car air out while off and see if it goes away. But a quick check of the fuel lines should be done although a de flood should have nothing to with the fuel lines.

Get that checked out ASAP.
