Gas pump auto-shutoff didn't work...
Was filling up today and the gas pump's auto-shutoff didn't work. It just stayed on after the tank filled, and basically started dumping fuel down the side of the car.
I've had this car for two-thirds of its miles and have never ever topped off the fuel tank. I always let the pump run until the auto-shutoff triggers, and then stop. I've heard there's a chance of EVAP system issues in a case like this. Should I be worried? Anything to do/check? |

I've filled the fuel tank right up to the brim on numerous occasions (doing mileage tests). Never had any issues .

It will be fine my friend. Have done it myself.

Those nozzles have a tube at end of them that senses fuel.
They eventually fail, and maybe the gas station pump you use is the cause. |
This happened to me once at a 7-Eleven, didn't have any issues afterwards.
