functionality of strakes and side vents

Well is there any?

I saw a diagram on here somewhere about the vents and the air flow. The air passes through the oil coolers, over the wheel arches and out the vents.
Strakes are for looks.

Yep, the strakes add 4HP at the wheels (1 HP for each strake, obviously).

You're crazy if you don't have them.

to be serious, the strakes are soley for looks, the side vents are the exhaust for the oil coolers.
