Fuel Stabilizer: Good or Bad?
I stored my 8 for the winter. Before I did, I added some (Stabil) fuel stabilizer and filled with a fresh tank of fuel. My friend said he just filled the tank with fuel and parked his Mustang and never any problems (other than driving a Mustang.) Haha. He went on to say that stabilizer harms the engine more than it helps. Is he right? Is Fuel Stabilizer (like Stabil, when used correctly) bad for our engines?

I don't know if it's harmful to rotaries in particular. People have been using it for years, and I can't recall ever hearing that.
Maybe a Google search would turn up something. I personally wouldn't bother with it though. I store power equipment over winter with no ill effects, but that's a lot different than an 8. I've had gas in my generator for a couple of years now.:) |

It should have no ill effects on your car's fuel system or engine.
