fuel saver

Hi,

I purchased a fuel saver that is being sold on ebay. Here is the exact link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CAR-FUEL-SAVE...QQcmdZViewItem

I am wondering if anyone has used one before and exactly where do I place it?

Thank you.

swoope 03-23-2006 12:28 AM

search for where to put it.

Is there a way to "potentially" alter fuel with magnetism to get a performance gain? Maybe at best. Is that the way to do it? Nope. My suggestion would be to leave it on eBay.

Well I have purchased it already and want to see if it works.

Does anyone have a diagram to show me where the fuel line is.

Thanks.

For anyone else who is thinking of buying this...

the fuel saver is a placebo piece of crap, popular mechanics did a review on all the supposed "fuel economy enhancers" like the fuel saver and tornado, they're all useless.

I know someone who bought one and saw no significant change in fuel economy.

I thought I found it the other day but the radiator fluid pissed out when I unplugged it to check. :Eyecrazy:

Just want to be sure this time......

My stepdad tried one of those magnets a few vehicles back (not too long ago he was getting a new vehicle every few months ) and not one bit of difference in his mileage. Some guy figured out a pretty smart way to rip off a bunch of people with this worthless gadget.

They are getting the issue corrected this weekend so allegedly I will have it sometime next week. Yay!!!!!

I remember when my stepdad came home with his magnet. I asked what he was going to do with that. He said he was supposed to put it near/on/something his gas tank and it would improve his mileage by about 3 MPG because some guy at work had one and said it worked great. I burst out laughing at him because I could see no logical explanation how that could possibly work. He got kind of pissed at me. :)

If you are magneto, maybe that's enough power to line up fuel particles to work... wait... magneto can fly....

Behind the master cylinder is a large circular black vacuum “ tank “ for the brake system. Looking at it as a clock to the left of the 8:00 position will be two hoses, one with a red clip, the other with a blue. I am 95% sure the red one is the fuel line. You do know these things have been tested and do not work but it’s your time and money.

I'm going to be honest! I wouldn't put something cheap like that into my 8. All those things on e-bay are cheap products, and their probably going to make the CEL come on or another warning light. I suggest if you really want to look into fuel management, actually buy one of those management systems that are actually proven to work, and that you know you paid good money for... but hey it's your car and your money I'm just giving you my opinion.....

Duke15 03-23-2006 12:15 PM

Anyone interested in my ebay item?

I remember people also making something big about that same type gadget, some said it worked, well if it wont interfere with the management then why not try it.
you paid already..

I know it is those hose with the funny red / blue clips and if I remember correctly they are both supply lines to the injectors.

sojourner 03-23-2006 01:24 PM

I just heard on the radio that there is a limited supply of property left for sale on the moon. Only like 1 billion parcels left. Better hurry!!

Good point.

I'll probably use it as a fridge magnet.
