Front plate states
I was curious how many states required front license. AZ does not. It kinda looks like a rabbit with the plate in the mouth.

Illinois - Yes.
In Cali. you are required to have a front plate. I got warned/fix it ticket a few times for this.
I am surprised I have had no ticket in one year in CA with no front plate
Texas - yes
I have mine off & have yet to get a warning yet . knock on wood. |
Washington state = yes
Cam beat me to it, but I had a question that goes with it. Anyone know the if you are registered in Washington State (front plate required), but living in Florida (not required)?
I think you still have to have 'em, but I'm concerned about the heat down here, and blocking most of the grill. |
PA-nope
everybody gets to the see my new 8 grinnin' from ear to ear |

Only got that because they are cracking down on no seat belts and I got pulled over for a check (I always wear my seat belt) and got a warning for 35% tint on the front side windows and no front license plate. The state police around here sometimes have nothing better to do. |
NJ- yes.
VA- yes. Don't have it on though- it's on the floor of my backseat.
OK - no.
NY... required. i dont plan on having it on and if i get stoped for it, ill just say the bracket was broken
NJ = yes. I ran 7 months without it, and didn't get stopped until this past weekend. Got off with a verbal "fix it". Alas, the plate is now installed...
yeah...........front plates are wack........and double that dude's big fat YES on virginia

I know some guys that have been stopped in other states for not having a rear plate. They didn't get ticketed, but the cops gave them a warning, the "you're not in MO anymore" BS. MO-yes  |
NYC,,,,,,YEA..............
Ticket Amount=$$$$$90 Those with no front plate will be deemed "terrorist" under the new patriot act 2!!!!!!!!!!!! |
No bug collector in Indiana.
MI no. I hate front plates...I've seen Vipers with them and that's just wrong. You destroy the look of the car completely with that little rectangle.

NC...no, thank god.
Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC - Yes - but mine is off with no trouble so far (knock on wood). I've been warned to stay out of DC without a front plate.
MA - Yes...no complaints yet....most people with modded cars around here put them on the top of their dashes against the window......not a bad idea....
