free factory scheduled maintenance
Hey guys I was scanning the rosenthal tsb site when I cam acroos the thing about some select rx-8's owners are eligible for free factory scheduled maint.Is this still available?If so how do I find out if I or the car I may be getting quailifies?

This was part of the 250HP "settlement". Mazda overstated horsepower on the early RX-8s. Owners were given the option of returning their vehicles or receiving free scheduled maintenance.
Personally, I liked how Ford dealt with a similar problem with Mustang Cobras a few years back. They did a recall and fitted the cars with new equipment (intake manifold and exhaust? - fuzzy part of the memory) to make the car meet the numbers. |
Dose that free maintenance cover labor only, or dose it cover filters and spark plugs...etc??

All scheduled.....
Whatever it says in the manual for the warranty period - oil and filters, air filter, inspections, adjustments.

Back then it was almost impossible to buy the car for less than MSRP, so overall you probably still got a better deal on your car if you paid $1000 - $1500 below MSRP. rx8cited |
