Frayed Headliner

I've been meaning to ask this question for a while, after indexing potential answers. I'm not certain if it's just my car, but have others noticed that the edge where the headliner meets the front windshield is frayed? In other words, the headliner material is not tucked in.

As you well know, the seat has a bit of vertical adjustment- and it reclines. Are you over six feet tall?

I am 5'-11", and have found the perfect position for the seat with loads of head clearance, though it took some experimenting to find. A 6'-4" friend has head clearance issues getting in and out, whenever he's a passenger. Once settled-in he has no problems. He also finds the legroom adequate, even generous for a car this size.

No frays on my head liner.

Hope your car is still under warranty. Mine has no problems.

Look at the top of the inside of your A-pillar where the SRS plastic trim meets the fabric of the headliner. The frayed area is most visible there, like the hem of worn out jeans.

I discovered this morning that my daily driver (Mazda Protege) has this too.

The fray is not visible from the passenger perspective, but if I wedge my head between the dash and the windshield and look up, I see that the headliner material is not tucked in.
