Forgot how much fun this thing is...

I drove my rx8 today for the first time in about 3 months. I've had it put away for the winter, but we've had some better weather lately and should for the next week or so. I know it's not that long since I haven't driven it, but since I just bought it last May, it almost seems like a new car again. :ylsuper:

I cant get wait to get mine out too. its been a month since I drove it last time.

It's crazy how you can go through withdrawals from not driving a car, but you can.

Amen To That, I ended up getting a new engine long story short, it took two months and i drove it today, its like a little kid at a candy store, its so exhilarating.

I also know the feeling. I was driving the 4Runner due to adverse weather. Lately, it's warmed up quite a bit and I was able to take the 8 for a proper drive :) What a joy! I'd also forgotten the sound the AEM CAI makes!

I just got mine on Tuesday, so I'm still learning how it behaves in corners, but man it is a blast. Even just simple day to day driving is nice due to how smooth everything is, and the steering feel. So many <3.

you "finally" got it :ylsuper:

My car is still in "hibernation" with battery removed ... hmm, not sure if the snow is still blocking it, i think i should take a look at her today and see what sup :) time to wake that bitch up ... I gotta ride her ... :P

Mine's been sleeping since Thanksgiving and - judging by how much snow and cold we have - going to stay hibernating for another month or more. Withdrawals have hit real bad. Got my RX8 Sales brocure out the other night to read - just to appease me for awhile.

i cant wait to hop back into mine it almost been a whole year since unplanned events have been coming up. soon soon as the clock ticks

You haven't seen anything unless you experience motorcycle withdrawls after sitting in winter for 6 months in Minnesota.

Now I can ride everyday! :)

^ 6 months ouch

No matter what car it is. A few months off then getting back into it is the best feeling.

aandeprep 02-11-2011 12:03 PM

due to nice weather finally got to open the 8 back up the other night so so much fun to watch the tac just fly

I suppose I should consider myself extremely fortunate to have only waited about 5-6 days until I could drive my 8, because of the dramatic weather which took place around my area very recently.

The wait time which many of you guys are enduring through is impossible! (Would be for me at least, lol)

..and on the eighth day God created Snowmobiles. And all was good

RX8Soldier 02-11-2011 10:19 PM

^^hahah touche!
My baby is still in hibernation for another few months :tear:
I visit her every few weeks, just to chat with her and play with her... If the weather holds up (it was NEARLY in the positives today! 26*F), I'm gonna take her out next week to get her juices flowing :naughty:

It's weird. I feel like this special club of people that understand what a car is all about. To me, it's the most car ever. Granted, I've been dreaming about one since they came out, but still. There is nothing that I've heard of in a reasonable price range that is what the RX-8 is. Bottom line.

It doesn't help that I'm in the south, so most people drive trucks or mullet mobiles. They always say how slow the car is, because of the numbers it puts down on paper.

aandeprep 02-12-2011 12:49 PM

lol i can testifly to 150mph of not so slow lol
