Fog light removal

Been a long time reader and am a huge fan of the RX8. I have driven the 8 a number of times and am cross shopping with the STI, EVO, G35 coupe, and 350Z. I have driven all of them and have to say that the RX8 wins hands down in real world driving dynamics.

I will most likely be picking up an RX8 in sport or GT trim in December but would like to know if any of you have tried removing the fog lights…essentially, looking like the base model. First of all, I’ll never use it and also…IMHO, the 8 looks better without it…

Thanks in advance.

The fog lights are held in with three screws on each light. You could probably get to them by taking off the lower engine covers on the bottom of the car and then taking out the screws and unplugging the lights. It could be a really hard place to get to and I don't know if you can pull the lights out without taking the bumper off. But it's not that hard to take the bumper off if you ask me. But then you would have two holes in the bumper next to the oil coolers. And I don't know if that would look any better or not.

I think the 8 looks great with fogs. If you aren't going to use them for fog, how about some fitting some blue stobe bulbs :)
