Floormat Clips?

I have an 06 Copper Red Shinka and my driver floor mat keeps sliding under the dead pedal. I do have the small hole in the mat, but nothing to clip it to on the carpet. Is that little piece a dealer installed item?

Thanks,
S

Thanks. I did a search but did not find that thread. My dealer missed this prep as well as the spark plug change...

Spark plug change? The dealer was supposed to change my spark plugs as part of the prep?

They come with crappy plugs. The change them out with the "good" plugs. When mine car came in they had run out of the new "good" plugs so I got the old "good" plugs. A month or two ago they called and said the new "good" plugs were coming in, so to bring my car in. Well, the timeframe I had my appointment for they hadn't made it so they pulled them out of the Shinka on the showroom floor until the ones meant for me came in.

Check out https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...86&postcount=6 .

Starting in early 2006 Mazda instituted the policy of putting fresh plugs in the RX-8 as part of final customer delivery. The car goes through a number of "short trips" between the factory and final delivery to the customer. This solves the problem of the plugs being fouled by those numerous "short trips". Along with the "Engine cranks no start" TSB, it is part of their program to minimize/eliminate flooding.
