flooding of engine

hello everyone,

over the past year that i've owned my rx8 i had numerous encounters with the engine light going on. has any of you encounter such problems.

recently i wasn't able to start my car. i got a note from mazda that the cause of that was due to flooding of the engine. did any of you get that letter? if you have any suggestions please let me know or please send me an email at stacie@stacietran.com. thanks!!!

There is a "flood" condition start procedure in the manual. You might want to have Mazda check the car's engine if this continues. Try the operators manual first though.

I had the problem once before the M-Flash. It has not happened since.

no problems here either ... I always warm up , always clean the plugs by rapping it to 3000 rpms before shut down , plus the M flash

Is there a topik about shutting down at 3000 rpm?

I think the engine flooding and no-start tends to be the most common when the ambient temp is very low. Anyone know for sure?

Did the M-flash affect anyones gas mileage? Mine got way worse.
