flat tire question

got a flat today; not happy; anyway, ive got about 7000 kms on the tires and they have been used very easily; can i just buy one new tire or do you have to go in twos?;
second, bot the car in aug 05 from dealer new; do i have coverage on it?;

I'd have to look at my car info but there is definitely coverage on tyres, think it might be 12months/certain milege but not sure.

With that little mileage you can probably get by with one new tire. You will want toget the exact same tire, however. I assume the tire was not repairable? If the flat was caused by a puncture it's doubtful that it will be covered by the car warranty.

i dont know if it is repairable or not; havent brot it in yet; will do so on monday; it was caused by a puncture around the corner from my house; a flat very sharp piece of metal, the size of a quarter;
i dont know why but i thot i was somehow covered for a punture under certain conditions for a specific timeframe;
im really bummed b/c i dont want a plugged tire so i guess ill have to cough up the coin for a new dunlop;

Depends on how badly the puncture is obviously, but if it's repairable and they patch it on the inside--not plug it--it should be fine for normal driving. Of course, if you plan on tracking the car or driving it very fast, a new tire would definitely be in order.

If repairable, a plug/patch is the best solution. It's a patch with an affixed plug. 7k you can replace the tire if driven normal. Are you using the spare? I was wondering about the difficulty of putting it on. Thinking about taking it out to loose the weight.

dont have the spare so i cant answer that question; im gonna jack it up, take it in and see how it looks;
ive got a winter tire and rim to thro on if need be;
