is flushing my engine a good thing?

I got it car second handedly. now i have around 14000KM on it, but i have never flashed my engine. after reading the post on carbon build ups, i started thinking i might need to flash my engine.
is it really hopeful to my car?
how many oil filters do i use while flashing it.
thank you

oil filters? i have no clue what you're talking about
yes, get your up to date.

dillsrotary 03-29-2006 02:27 AM

you have to use 6 oil filters, plus one blinker fluid filter.

You mean flush the engine???

Coop '04 03-29-2006 11:20 AM

You HAVE to use regular blinker fluid, Mazda does not approve of synthetic even though it blinks better.

OOHHHH. Flush engines. get it. sorry for the confusion.
so i need 6 oil filters and bliker fluid(wth is this) any suggestion for the brand and kinds of blinker fluid?
but is it really necessary? or good to the car?

Ike 03-29-2006 06:12 PM

You're going to need some boost juice and a flux coupler as well.

mine tried to lick me?

en. i did a search with the right wording. i found out that renesis is ok without being flushed.
i started this thread after reading this from the "Some interesting findings from a disassembled Renesis" thread

By T-von
"Well when I started doing the flush, I did it once a week for 4 total times over a month. I just used cheap oil and filter during all the flushing. Cost me $10.00 every time I did it. The reason I did it so much was because of the recommendation of another forum member. He told me if my engine had never been flushed, I would need to do it this way to really clean it out. That's what I did. Now I only do it every 2k because of my engine mileage. I also don't worry about the remaining flush inside the system and working it's way through my OMP lines. The flush is designed to break down carbon so it also helps some when it's injected into the combustion chamber."

so how does this work?

I haven't tried flashing my car yet, but I fear it might be a sexual predator...

yiksing 03-31-2006 08:23 AM

There's no need to flush the engine
