I actually really like the size and weight of this shifter **** now.
My first car, a '63 Ford Fairlane had an 8-ball shifter **** when I bought it. It had a Hearst Competition Plus shifter in it. I loved that shifter. The 8 ball **** had stripped threads, so I replaced it with a Hearst T-handle. I loved that combination. The 8 ball never felt comfortable to me. I was glad that I made the change.

As for the 8. I like the shifter and ****. It is very comfortable for me.

I have 2 Voodoo ***** for my Miata, but haven't got bored with the RX-8 **** yet. When I do, I will be installing a 2" Magnum aluminum Voodoo ****! (Ti if I can afford it).

Oh, and check out the Knobmeister - he's a Miata owner, retired, who started up a laser engraving sideline that has become very popular - he can engrave pretty much anything on a shift ****, and has done lots of Voodoo shift ***** or custom wood *****.

Gordon

RE: chapparal?

Yep, thanks. I hoped the Mahogany would go well with the leather...
