First "compliment"
 

I was at a light last night on the way home from work and this 17 year-old kid stops behind me in some old beat up BMW. I could tell he was checking out the car, but then he turned around and started rummaging in the back seat. Lo and behold, out comes the camcorder, and he starts taking pictures of my car :D Haha I could certainly get used to this!

I had some kids follow me down main street of my home town video tapping the whole ride......that put a smile on my face!

I took my kids around town Sunday trick or treating, and with all the folks out, you wouldn't believe the turn, point and stare action happening ...

I was stuck in a traffic jam today and I notice out of the corner of my eye that the left lane traffic isnt passing me any more. I look in the mirror to see if maybe I should scoot over to the left lane to move up or not, & I see the car right at my left rear fender moving verrry slowly. He finally gets up even with me & Im wondering what he's up to. He gives me the biggest 'cool car' smile and a thumbs up and moves along to catch up with the crowd. I was especially impressed because there was a new silver Z 2 cars in front of me & he did NOT do that to him. The when I got to where I was going. I pulled into my parking space next to a lady & her two kids maybe (8 and 10) loading up their trunk and the little girl actually claps for me & my car. I said to her mom, "Wish I got that reaction from women my age when I pull up!" At least they put a big smile on my face, too. People that don't drive 8s, just dont know about these things, it's crazy.

I find these threads pretty funny.

Was stopped at a speed trap the other day! Damn didn't think I was speeding. You guessed it they only wanted to look at the car!
Anyway they suggested I go back a short distance and go for it.
Well there you have cut the gatso at 2** plus and they were complimentary (kph by the way). 1** plus mph. Go figure.

Best compliment I've got so far was from an Alabama State Trooper as I was ripping across I-165/43 in Mobile without any traffic (some decent dips and sweepers) and he flashes me his high beams and gives the "slow down" signal with his hand.

He could have easily pulled me over and written me up an astronmical ticket.

I had a guy the other day roll his window down and asked if my 8 had a turbo... well i said... :rolleyes: SURE! 400 RWHP! :p :p

Was walking back to the car from a resturant one day and overheard someone say "look at that, it looks like one of those cars where the doors go up in the air". Compare me to a 100 - 200K car, sure why not :D .
