Finally getting a new engine!

My 8 sat all winter as the engine went late last fall with 135,000 miles. i had been saving to get a new engine but couldn't replace it before we got a new car for my wife. Her 99 Galant is on its last breadths. Finally last month i picked up a 2010 Buick Lacrosse (great car by the way). last week i put my 8 into the shop for a new engine. i'm going with JPR Imports in Blackwood NJ. Jim has been my guy for the last 2 years. He does great work.

i decided to get a lightweight flywheel and the Cobb Accessport while i'm there. i already have a hi-flow cat. Any other recommendations out there? i 'm looking for performance mods only.

If you want the thing to sound sick and gain a few horses, upgrade your intake and exhaust system.

This is my favorite exhaust header/catback combo:

Are you replacing the clutch at the same time as the flywheel?

Beyond that, you could add front and rear strut tower bars and maybe upgrade the suspension.

How about an MS intake? I love mine! Or coilovers for a suspension upgrade. Or possibly new headers?

The mods i would go with would be Racing Beat Intake and Duct or AEM Intake, Racing Beat Headers to go with your high flow cat, and a new cat back exhaust of your choice. I hear great things about short shifters.

Does all of those Racing Beat upgrades amount to a real noticeable improvement in performance, or is it mostly attitude?
