Exclamation Enough

I don't know where to post this so I'm starting a new thread and hope the moderators won't make it go away!

By "enough" I've heard more than enough specualtion about actual power to last me for the next four years.

I was hopefull when one or two forum members dedicated themselves to getting final answers from Mazda but am disappointed at their inability to follow through. (Perhaps they thought twice about adding more fuel to the fire and potential legal response from Mazda)

It isn't appropriate for Mazda to now sit on the sidelines while so many RX8 owners are torn one way or the other over this issue as it undermines their customers confidence and trust in Mazda and their cars. It is incumbent on Mazda to comment on and clarify this issue. A restatement of reduced horsepower from them without independent verification is questionable given their previous history. To claim as Mazda has, that the car still performs as before assumes that that was/is the issue and puts verification into a more nebulous category. A car either has or does not have 238 HP; there are no factors such as driver, track etc. that can be claimed to negatively effect it.

If you agree please contact Mazda, and in your own words, request clarification of these issues and express your concern. This is not a question of good car versus bad car but one of good company versus bad company. Yes I am keeping the car because it is nice, not great but nice. Without further communication from Mazda including verifiable data on the current Hp I will eliminate Mazda from consideration in making furture purchases regardless of how great they claim any upcoming models are because they can't be trusted.

Thanks

I'm totally satisfied with my car. My only interest in comtacting Mazda would be to compliment them on the car.

My understanding is that everyone in the US that purchased an RX8 has the option of returning the car. How many times have people had the opportunity to hand the car back if they didn't feel satisfied??? REGARDLESS OF THE REASON!

I trully wish that people would either keep their cars and stop complaining or hand their cars back and stop complaining. But that'll never happen will it?

I'm all for finding performance improvements and anything that can make the RX8 even more of a pleasure to drive and own.

IF the car does do the 1/4 mile in the 14's and 0-60 in 5.9 or so as stated several times in many places then what does it matter what the horsepower is?

I say Forget about the horsepower.
Quit complaining.
The cars have been like this since you recieved them.
No one who doesn't live in Japan has driven a 247 hp Rx-8.
Quit blaming the car.
Quit beating a dead horse.

Just another worthless post on a worthless topic.

Thumbs down feel better

It seems you all are the ones anxious to feel better or perhaps your Maxda dupes!

Mazda cars do not perform as advertised. No one is consistently getting the time/speed slips from their cars and when they do it's by beating the crap out of them to get close!

Hope you all feel better knowing you own less than you paid for!

Red face

Also... maybe you should read all the posts stating that the RX8 doesn't even have the 238HP now claimed by Mazda!

My point is that Mazda is just handing you a little treat and then ignoring you and hoping you'll go away.

I guess thats what you all are... just little boys afraid to stand up for yourselves.

WHATEVER!!!!!!

A note to the moderators: please move all these whiney-*** horsepower threads to one spot. It's ruining this whole site.

As for the horsepower whiners. Either sell your car back or get over it!!

These guys remind me of some girl you broke up with 10 yrs ago, and she still gives you attitude whenever you run into her.

Talking

Just because you've given up you expect everyone else to! Reality hurts doesn't it? Big boys face it and try to deal with it, little boys like you move into their pretend world where all is OK.
