Easily scratched interior

Does anyone else have this problem?
The plastic on the doors and the plastic "silver" parts on the console and back of the seats are easily getting scratched in my car.

if you are refering to the plastic on the door that you hit your foot on when you get out...then yea sorta....but not too bad.

Can't help you with the silver console tunnel, but there's a thread for scuffs on the black portions of the door, etc.:

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=18682

the quick-and-dirty version is that Mother's Back to Black seems to work for people. I use that, and 303 Aerospace Protectant, which is functionally similar to Armorall, but without the greasy silicone feel and high gloss (it leaves a satiny matte finish).

If you're dealing with gouges rather than scuffs, I'm not sure what advice to offer.

What I did was put some leftover pieces from my Clearshield install on the silver band on the center tunnel and the small silver area on the shift **** and other areas I felt would scratch from fingernails or other bodyparts. You can order bulk from the Xpel website and cut what you need. You can barely see it unless you look close. Works great

no doubt this car is easily scratachable. my plastic door trim is getting beaten to hell fast from getting in and out. The silver plastic console molding will scratch easily, and the door panels I just cannot keep clean. I just gave up and figured cars are meant to drive and get used, then you sell them or trade them in, and do it to another one. No sense in worrying about it because it's gonna get beat up slowly.
