Down to 2 types of tires, advice please?

Hey guys, bad alignment has done in my current set of tires so it's time for some new shoes. I currently have a set of kumho ecstas that are on the way out.. local tire shop has that same tire and also a set of riken raptors that they recommended, and the price difference is within $5/tire. The kumhos came with the car and they were over half gone, so I can't speak for what they would have been like if the previous owner had taken proper care of them. Which would be a better tire? Anybody have experience with either?

Thanks

I had a set of Riken Raptors and they were okay but if the price of the Kumho's is with $5.00 a tire then get those for sure.

I'd buy Kumho's over the Rikens, but depending on the tire model, I'd buy a lot of other tires over both.

Hot tip!

I had Kumho Ecsta SPT's, and they seemed good, have precise steering, but are rough.

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110's are quieter, softer, and better grip dry or wet.

Also, tire rack has them for $19 cheaper than SPT's!

I don't know any cheaper tire that is actually as good as the Ventus V12's.

Yup, I'm most likely going to go with the Hankook Ventus V12's because of their balance of price, quality, life, and performance.

I've had them before, and I was happy with them.

Kumho Ecsta SPT's

is what you want for handling and wear.

If you want more wear, you will save money.

You don't need the handling since your not racing.
