Do the 8s flood like the 7s used to?

I'm a new 8 owner and I used to have a second gen 7 and I know how they can be. My buddy that has an 8 told me there was a flooding problem with the 8s too if you turn the engine off when it's cold. Is that true? And if so, is there a flood trick like on the 7s with the fuses?

Ocassionally people report having this problem, but it seems to be grossly overstated. It's only ever happened once to me, and took all of 10 seconds to fix (there's a simple walkthrough in one of the booklets that came with the car). Hardly anything to be concerned about. :)

what did you do to fix it (in case i dont see the book)?

earlier flashes didn't cut off the fuel. on the newer ones you floor the gas and crank until it starts. If you really went a FLOODED it you gotta replace the plugs.. and maybe the cat if you really are boneheaded..

Wow you guys are being nice today :)

Even I who is not a fan of the repost police might be a little miffed at someone starting a new thread asking about flooding, when it seems 50% of all posts on the forum are on this topic :D

Like hmm this thread for example:

Look ma its even stickified :p

EDIT: Use the search Luke!
