I really like the rx8, im just curious to know what exactly are the packages offered in the rx8? I know there is a gt package and a Grand Touring package. What are the differences and can you have both?

The sunroof isnt standerd?
What package has the Navigation?
Are all gt packages 6 speed?

there is the base, sport, touring and grand touring. Mazda explains it pretty well on their site.

Here is what is ADDed to the car with each pkg. (each pkg builds on the lower one).

Sport (6speed or Auto):
18" Wheels
Bigger Brakes
Sports Suspension
DSC/TSC (Dynamic Stability Control/Traction Control)
HID Head Lights
Fog Lights

Touring (6speed or Auto):
Sunroof
BOSE radio
Homelink/auto diming Rearview mirror (opens garage door)

Grand Touring (6speed or Auto):
Leather Seats (solid color or two tone)
Winter Package (heated front seats/side mirrors)
Power drivers seat

the sunroof only comes with the Touring or GT

Navigation can be added to sport, touring or GT

EDIT : GT is Grand Touring, T is Touring, S is Sport

Pretty much a combination of Grand Touring and Touring.

 

the pkg's add to each other, so the GT is the touring + whatever.

reading what your looking for, you want RED/BLACK leather seats, GT is the only way to go if you want leather, that will also give you the sunroof, and Navigation is an option that can be added to any package.

go to www.mazdausa.com and click the RX8, select the 6speed model and build it to your specs. then you can do a dealer search to find one in your area, equiped the way you want it.
