did you know......

do you guys know that when you change your filter into a high flow one it will cause your car to idle at a lower RPM, which causes a little more vibration than normal, i mean its not a great big deal, you cant really notice it, but isnt that weird? i changed 3 filters on 3 8's and they all do the same thing, even the automatic

Yes I was aware of this.
There are many threads discussing poor idling after changing air filters.

racingbeat intakes not suppose to have any harsh idles according to jim langer. rotarygod explained the reason why many times in many threads... something about removing the sensor from the middle of the air flow to not in the middle making the pipe bigger or something along those lines

The ported and polished racing heads and aggressive cam shaft my father and I want to put on our Z28 is going to make for a really nasty idle... we're looking forward to it....
