Did Mazda release a technical training manual for the Rx-8?

I know for sure that Mazda released "technical highlights" or training documents for the series 3 (1984), series 4 (1986), and series 6 (1992/1993) Rx-7's. These were intended to educate service technicians about new models, and they had a lot of explanations about design changes.

Does anyone know if Mazda did the same for the '8 ? If so I'd love to see a PDF.

i had one of those technical highlights book for my fd, picked it up real cheap at 7stock. honestly tho, if you have the shop manual, it's pretty useless. it's useful for people who really don't know too much about these cars. i'd say a lot (or most) of that information can be found here on the forum

The service highlights documents on the Rx-7's complemented the service manual very well because they showed Mazda's logic in designing parts or systems in a particular way. By knowing why Mazda designed something, we can figure out whether it should be modified or not. There is a LOT of stuff in those older documents that is not covered by the service manual at all, especially in terms of small details. For example, look at this discussion of corner seal plugs from 1984 when they were first implemented:

I think that is pretty important for an engine builder who wants to understand what Mazda was thinking when they designed the corner seal plug in the first place, especially since a lot of people consider the corner seal plug to be useless. That is discussion is definitely NOT covered in any service manual.

Of course, I haven't seen the Rx-8 service highlights document so I can't say whether it has anything useful in it or not.
