Delivery Lead Times
I talked to a contact at Mazda. He told me "The less complex build cars were scheduled for production first simply because we changed the headliners from the prototype cars for 10mm more headroom. Since a headliner without a moon roof is quicker and easier to make the vendor shipped them first. It should not have much effect on your car.
:p (10mm is a little less than 1/2 an inch but evry little bit helps.) |

A half inch will help (actually .4 inches).
Do the moonroof people also get a thinner headliner? This was my biggest gripe with the car but I wanted the Bose so I had to get the moonroof and the diminished headroom. -Mr. Wigggles |
Yes.
I do belive the 10MM gain was across the board ands will be seen in the moonroof vrsions as well. I wish I could say with absolute certainty.
