Smile Like fine wine...better with age?

My 8 now has 11k miles and over the past few weeks just seems to be getting better and better! The engine seems to have lost it's tight feel, the shifting is soooo slick the cluch less grabby and everything seems smoother in operation. Not sure if it's my getting used to it, or, the car is just running in! I don't drive the 8 every day, but I am driving it more and more - have to watch those lease miles!

Has anyone else noticed this improvement with age? When I first got the car I did switch to Redline for the transmission and diff. and did notice some improvement, but nothing like now, maybe the effects take a while to become apparent.

Now I 'm spoiled, drive most anything else and jump back into the 8, and you know why you bought it! Did get a chance to drive the new Benz SLK 350, very impressive - punchy, nice 6-speed, solid, stiff chassis and trick folding roof - it should be, for $47k!

If you had the car for over a year than 11K miles should be ok. Mine has 632 miles on it and it does feel like it is getting better and has more scoot.
