DCS & Traction Control

I know, I know. There's a gazillion threads out there about this topic, I've read through all of them and mine seems unique.

Ok I work night shift, starting at 11 pm til 7, usually leave about 7:30.

Every time I start it up in the morning after work, the DCS light starts flashing, and the traction control light comes on steady. At no other time of day has this happened, only in the morning after work...I tried the turning the steering wheel to the left, then to the right thing, which will fix the problem about half the time...

After driving it for about 30-45 minutes first the DCS light will stop flashing and go out, then shortly thereafter the traction control.

This leads me to believe it has something to do with temperature maybe? I live in Tucson, Arizona, and in the mornings it's the coldest part of the day....(around 80 degrees)

And what makes it even more odd is the fact that once I left work in the middle of the night for lunch, no lights, but when I left a few hours later the lights came on in the morning...

Any ideas?

Did you turn the ignition off after turning it fully to the left and then fully to the right?

If you didn't then it likely did not complete the procedure.

If you did, sounds like a connection issue. Is the time and stations programmed on your radio still the same? If so then could be just isolated to your DSC. If you're under warranty, have the dealer look at it if the above doesn't work.

that is strange. usually the only time this should happen is when the ecu is reset (disconnected battery). are you having any starting problems or any other symptoms?

No other symptoms, and all my presets and everything work fine. I know when I first bought the car the battery terminals were loose, and the car had problems keeping the battery charged because of that...

Since I tightened it, no problems though.
