Damn, blurted out again with people in the car...

Hehehe,

How many of you have had tnis hapen to you:
You think that after 2 1/2 years with the car you are used to it. Then you are driving with a couple of friends and decide to push it al litle bit. WOT it in the straight, and take the curve just perfectly, then, when you think you are looking cool you smile like a @ss and blurt out, Damn I love this car. Over and over again.

Yes, it still brings a smile every time I turn it on and causes blurting on ocation. Just one of the great things this car causes. Neadless to say my firends still laugh about it. (they also blurted some praises to the car)

I've done that many times with my wife riding with me. I'll hang a corner, or romp on the gas through a couple of gears and she'll notice the s**t-eatin' grin on my face and say, "did it because you could, right?" And I say, "yep." :) And she smiles back. What more could you ask for?

yep, life is good when you drive an 8. It's amazing how it can change your mood.
Get out of work after a shitty day, drive home and get there smiling.

RX8SaxMan 12-13-2005 09:51 PM

Whew, now at least I know I'm not the only one who does that. I just can't help it!!! hehe...

also, anyone who frequents disneyland, theres an awesome turn going into the front entrance of the main parking lot (not the structure) before you pay for parking/show permit...i cant help but enjoy myself everytime i go.

Sometimes I hate taking people with me...I'll take a 15 mph corner at 20...and ppl will whine and bitch 'slow down!!!'...geesh....

:)

XDEEDUBBX 12-14-2005 09:54 AM

Sometimes i'll wake up in the middle of the night and just go for a 30 minute drive. Then go back to sleep with a smile on my face, or maybe cause i rubbed one off..hahahha j/k

Since my wife drives the 8 95% of the time, she now knows why I love my FD still. Like many have stated, with either car, you get out smiling :)

I was at a tire shop not too long ago. One of the techs comes running in yelling "Dude, come check out this Rx-8 in the parking lot. You gotta see this thing." It's happened twice. I still smile 'bout it.

Huhwha 12-14-2005 03:22 PM

I went to dinner with the wife Saturday. Left it with the valet (I know, but it was COLD and a classy establishment). Anyhow, we come out and I give the guy the claim check. He gets the keys and says "Oh, that one! I put it right here so I could watch it and everybody could see it!"

My bad - it was dirty as hell - haven't seen 30 degrees in 2 weeks :(

Razz1 12-14-2005 11:11 PM

Hell, mine sits in the garage all the time.

Wish I could have fun like you guys........

Ah..... HPDE schools will be opening up soon in 2006. Now, I feel better.

I love it when people ride with me that never have before. I usually end up scaring the crap out of them. All in all it comes down to a smile on my face.

Tried that one and a friends mom said "what is that a Dodge Neon?" as I turn to look at her like she's crazy and start to say "no its a Mazda RX-8" they all start laughing their asses off at me.....got me!!

And yes I also take corners fast and say, "damn I love this car"

DarkBrew 12-15-2005 10:39 PM

My friends think that I am obsessed with my 8.... I'm not obsessed. I could sell it when ever I want to... I just don't want to right now. Not obsessed. Not obsessed. Not obsessed. Not obsessed. Not obsessed. Not obsessed. Not obsessed. Not obsessed.

Cool-Blue-Dad 12-19-2005 09:01 AM

I don't usually blurt out any particular words. I have a tendancy for spontaneous laughter in tight turns or near the redline. I guess any way you feel it still feels good. :)

Ah... you see you're not driving fast enough. Take the turn at 30 and they'll be too scared to speak :)

A couple of my co-workers and I went to lunch a few weeks ago. As we got off a highway, I maintained the exact same speed (only 75 MPH) all the way up the exit ramp (which had excellent visibility and three yummy curves: right, left, right). Thing is, I wasn't pushing it... didn't even make the tires squeal. One of the guys rides with me all the time so it didn't even phase him. The other guy (who drives an SUV) yelled "Holy Shit!" and grabbed on for dear life.

Later he said his heart stopped and he seriously thought we were gonna die. I apologized to him afterwards, saying that I take no pleasure in making my friends cry like schoolgirls :mdrmed:

ahahahahahaha god i love taking turns hard with my friends and accelerating out of them as quick as i can my friend was just screaming in the back saying ahhh lemme put on the seat belt... oh shit! the seat belt is stuck!!! i found it funny then realised thats not very good safety wise so i stoppd to let him put it on and took a hard turn again with him screaming at the top of his lungs while my other friends who always ride with me just laughed with me.
